Aren't you a little short for a shock-trooper?

I return!

So yeah,,,no much of a important thread here buuuut! I'm 5.ft,3inches. Think I could pull off an ODST? I mean, the rookie for example is around 6.ft according to the wiki so I feel I may be what the tittle suggests.
Not the it matters of course, it's cosplay. You do what you want if it's fun.

But still, just wondering on your guys opinion :p

Hey Clockwork,

Just scale everything down? Master Chief is a lot larger then 99% of the people doing Spartan builds, doesn't stop us from having fun :)
For ODST I'd say size doesn't matter at all, soldiers come in all shapes and sizes

ODST's are human, so height isn't an issue.

Don't let size keep you from doing anything you want to do, Here in Arizona, we have a female Spartan who is like 4 & a half feet tall.

I totally understand where you're coming from; 5'3 pretty much excludes folks like us from pre-fab kits, and makes it a LOT harder to get a costume together. That being said, it's not like we've got legions of guys running around built like literal BSH's and topping 8ft, so it's not a total disadvantage either. I mean, I'm planning a Havoc Trooper (SWTOR) and Kat (Reach); both btw are canon at not-even-close-to-5-ft. It's a matter of simply scaling it to fit our frames, and really just enjoying the process and end results. Just another one of the joys of costuming.

And let me just say, she totally rocks it.

If you like it, do it. Don't let your height stop you. There are some ways to give yourself an extra boost if you really think you need it, though. For example, the boots I wear have an extremely thick sole and it gives me an extra couple inches.
