Yeah, I agree there is nothing funny here because to be honest. I was sorely disappointed in the quality of the work here. Everyone else has suggested it but I am begging you, use pepakura to make your armour. Its nice to see that your trying and making some progress and yeah, it might impress your friends but this isn't going to be like "wow!" at parties or win competetions! I think you need to start over in pepakura and start very small (handpiece or shoulder) but keep what you have made so far (I kept my test versions for this reason too) so when you ever get bored or annoyed when making the new one, you can look back and see how far you got and it should motivate you not to give up; to finish the figh, er job! I am a noob and my first pep helmet was amazing to me and my friends but I received a lot of constructive criticism but at the time I took it to heart and was offended so retaliated defensively because I wasn't used to taking criticism like that. You may not realise, as I did not, that you are doing a similar thing (deflecting criticisms) by absorbing them and not taking them serious enough! I know it can seem harsh and may put you off but for me, thanks to all the guys here at 405th, I am more motivated than ever to complete my armour and hopefully in time for the release of Halo Wars and as I recently got my first job ever (I'm 16 and left school in June but go back to college in September) I may even manage to have it done by Christmas or even earlier (HALOween (see what I did there?) at my earliest hopes). I am glad to see that people are trying anyway and although I have only been a member for about a week or so now, I feel that I am part of something big and hope that you will become a big part of it too and we at 405th will surely help you on your way if you are willing to accept the, what may seem as what I call "tough love"! Phwew, that was a mouthful, I should write presidential speeches lol!

Anywho, keep it up and I hope all goes well, your friend,

SparTom

I'm pretty sure he is going to take your advice. No need to overreact on how he commented your advice. Now if he started cussing and saying things that are derogative, that would be a different story.
