Hey everyone. Been awfully busy with school and work. I have only just resined my Mark6 MC helmet and I've had it built for almost a whole year. I'm also pitching my old Streeper files I completed when He first released them after I found the 3d File for him, in favor of his updated low polygon files (the less folds you have on those files the better, trust me, Ben was right.)

I have done different Iron Man mark 3 helms. The first one was Ben Streepers, the Second was Callmemilos second file he released on The league of Heroes Website(not sure if he released it here or not) and Third was Sharkheads.

Here is my version of Sharkheads Iron Man file. Its been pretty nasty outside here in colorado, so I'm not sure if I will be able to resin it soon or not. I may have to wait till this weekend when the humidity leaves.
But here it is. I scaled mine 1 cm smaller than Timecons build, and man oh man was he not joking, there is only about a quarter of an inch of room all around, and it still looks big when I wear it. The whole armor is definately required to make this build look proportional.

Anyway enough of my rambling here's the pics.

I've got to push the lower chin to the right a bit when I head to resin it this week.(my sloppy sharpie marks might not be helping in its looks proportionally though) All In all I think it will be a good base to add detail to.
Lemme know what you all think.

PS. To any of you Builders living in the Phoenix Area, I'm gonna be at Grand Canyon University this fall, and unfortunately there is no where on that small campus that I can work on any of this. If there's anyone in the area, that would like to work on a join venture this fall (late august and onward) Let me know.

Timecon did it at 31cm as seen in his pictures, I did mine at 30. I was afraid to go smaller, and its a good thing I didn't

see now i did sharkheads pep as well, same unfold as you, but mine was scaled to 28cm....and it fits my head perfectly and doesn't seem to big in proportion to me....and i've always thought i had a big head....lol.....i'll update this post in a sec with a pic of me wearing mine to show you what i mean....

EDIT: Since I'm in Australia it's not so easy to find Bondo so I'm using Selley's Plasti-Bond, which i was told was basically the same thing and seems to be working good so far. One pic is before plasti-bond and one is about 60% done on the first coat of plasti-bond.

so that's scaled at 28cm and its a nice snug fit on my head...

How much room is there on each side of your head? I'm dealing with about 1/2 - 1 inch from my cheeks to the side of the helm, and about 2-2 1/2 inches from the top

well my ears are pretty much flush up against the discs on the sides....which i think is how it should be because i remember someone asking that question on a doco on my iron man blu-ray and they said that the "ears are right up against that" and pointed to the discs on the sides....

as for my cheeks the helmet also sits flush against them

but i have about a 1-2cm gap from the tip of my nose to the front of the helmet

Problem is you dont want it snug. unless of course your not planning on puting any padding or neat gadgets inside. hinges, led's things like that.

I was talking to a few guys on RPF about their TMP helmet. They said its huge without the rest of the armor, so I'm confident in the size. I would have gotten it resined today but the morning was too humid and cold, and then we had tornadoes in the afternoon. Supposed to repeat that for the next 2 days.

Yay!! ^^ so beautiful, very clean folding and building. Hopefully those doing the helmet will have an easier time than I am, I'm still not done with mine and something tells me I'm doing everything the hard way XD
Mine is scaled to 28.7 cm, it fits on my head a bit tight but it always looks big to me, as you guys said. Thankfully the rest of the suit makes it look perfectly proportioned on me.

I re-did the Benstreeper files for the chest from the high poly count to the newer more accurate lower poly count. I should have some resin pics of the helmet and some pep chest pics up in the next 2 or 3 days.
