My introduction to the 405th began I would say about two years ago when i wanted to make a master chief costume for Halloween. I did research, found pepakura files, and began my work. In the end I made his helmet and assault rifle. In the end though, I just sprayed them green and black and called it a wrap.
I thought it was cool and all but I didn't know about scaling at the time so the helmet was too small and thus I stopped work on that. I soon began work on a recon helmet and was able to pep, glass, resin, and paint it, but i felt like I didn't detail it properly and in my opinion it looked clunky and messy.
About a year went by before I began work on a noble six helmet. This one I scaled properly and everything and it came out pretty good. However, I resined and puttied the outside, and used rondo (resin and bondo) on the inside and I think I messed up the ratios and stuff because everything became kind of hard to work with. However, I pulled through and I think the helmet came out pretty good.
Just this month I finally got back into it again and began work on a Skyrim Daedric Sword. I have pepped it and am going to begin resining the outside soon. I also am experimenting with the use of cardboard reinforcement pieces inside the sword so I'm pretty stoked about how it will turn out.
That about sums up my activities as of right now with video game stuff.
P.S. for those who are interested I also custom painted my xbox cause I was bored (haha) and I made a deadmau5 helmet that has sound activated eyes (once again because I was bored). Here's those pics:
This should be my only super long post since I had to sum up two years of stuff in one post haha
