i found this on wiki On January 4, 2008 it was confirmed by Bungie that a new set of multiplayer maps would be released on an undetermined date.[100] The code names for the maps are currently O.K. Corral, Purple Reign, and Cottonball.[101] A fourth map has been mentioned to be in development, code named Moonbase Alpha,[102] but does not appear to be included in this map pack.

My friend said they slipped a possible release date (April) in a recent podcast. If they came out then I would die happy.
