I think he's had a good run, it will be interesting to see what direction Microsoft takes without him, whether they would keep doing it the "bill gates way" (not really sure what this is....) or if they take a different business direction.
Hehe... ill be able to burn up an entire economics double talking about this, much to the dislike of the others in the class

Well, judging by the size of Microsoft, I'd say it's a fair bet that it'll be business as usual for them. I doubt his personal involvement is really even needed.. Once you get the right folks into the right positions, you SHOULD be able to walk away from it all.

There may be some new directions taken, but it'll be through committee agreements I'm sure. I wonder if the Halo movie will end up back on the table? They HAVE to know that's worth some money to them...The new regieme might be more money hungry and decide to strike while the iron is still hot.
