Back working on the suit again, finished up the forearms, trying out a new software for merging parts together, seems to be pretty stable, and small imperfections don't show up even at .16mm layer heights, so I'm less worried about my workflow now too.
I also bought a new silent motherboard for my printer, these things are no joke!
I was previously concerned about upsetting my neighbours by printing overnight, but not any more, now the loudest part of the printer is the fan lol

I've also bought some chunky rare earth magnets and am printing a Sidekick with cavities inside for the magnets, I plan on adding the same to the thighs, and am looking forward to seeing how well I can make the magic holster work

One arm down, one to go!
Got the forearm printed up, really happy with how it came out.
I think i'll put off printing the other arm until I figure out the strapping and padding for this side first, in case I want to change anything and re-print/before I print the other side.

Also thinking a lot about how I want to approach the undersuit... I know a lot of you guys go for cast rubber parts, and while I can see the benefits of those I'm wondering if it might be time to get a sewing machine and make it out of some thin upholstery foam and faux leather.
It looks much more leather like than rubber to me, and don't really have the space or capability to try casting anything in my current living situation.

Small update, decided to model the undersuit too, starting with the neck seal.
I plan to take the low poly into good old pepakura and use the templates with some faux leatherette I've bought and either eva foam or if I can find some, 1cm thick upholstery foam.

I've also printed a sidekick, wonderful files from: BUISSONLAND - Download file MK50 "SIDEKICK" from HALO Infinite • 3D print template ・ Cults
-although I edited some of the parts and added slots for some rare earth magnets.

Below is a gif with one magnet in the gun, and one in my pocket, hopefully It should work similarly when the magnet is inserted into the thigh armour.
