Can I bondo a paper helmet on the outside then resin the inside? I feel like past resinings of the outside made it less detailed.

i would resin the inside first, then bondo. part of the purpose of the resin is to give the paper strength to support the bondo.

If you bondo straight to the paper, you'd have to cover the entire outside with bondo to get the texture of the paint even across the piece. While bondo and resin look the same painted, bondo and paper do not. Also I'm not sure how well the bondo would adhere to straight paper. Pretty sure the best bet is to resin it with a light coat to keep the details intact.
