Cardstock Substitute

So iv just started a practice run on a sparten helmet, not masterchief though, and have used the paper tabby blueprint things. I coudn't be bothered to go buy any cardstock so i glued the prinouts to cereal boxes and cut them up. Its worked fine, just some of the tiny folds can be tricky.

I'd like to see that. Which helmet did you make?

Cereal boxes are a little thicker than cardstock. It will work fine but make smaller folds harder to do. I don't recommend it but go for it. Good luck and let us see some progress.

It would require a lot of cereal boxes to make just one helmet.

Considering how much cereal costs, you can buy a thing of 110 lb cardstock for the price of one box of cereal.
