COD4 outsells/more popular than halo 3

Call of duty 4 in 2007 outsold halo 3 for the xbox360. More players are now prefering to play Call of duty 4 on Xbox live rather than playing Halo 3

I'm actually amazed by this, halo 3 being a xbox exclusive and coming out before Cod4, yet cod4 with a shorter period of time outsold halo 3. Those stats on kotaku are from xbox version of cod4 alone.

I think its because more people know what COD is than Halo. Also considering that there is one more game in the series than Halo.... But yeah because there was Game Fuel, Walmart Standees, commercials, and, well fans like us.

Don't get me wrong, the halo games are good n all.. but i don't think many halo fans want deep story plots.. The halo universe as a whole has an amazing story, but 99% of that is in the novels. I wouldn't exactly call the game deep story at all.

If most halo fans wanted deep story, the single player wouldn't be so tertiary in the development process. Most of the development on the halo games goes into the multiplayer, which is just shooting stuff.

Maybe you dont like cod4, but you dont need to flame the game because you dont play it, I've played the story, and it is really good, it's very long also. And if it didnt have a good story, then why did so many people buy the game? Not everyone plays online...

Same for halo 3, some people bought the game for story, they dont play on live.

I actually never cared for COD 1-3 because of the setting. Once they went to modern I fell in love before it came out. And actually, the campaign is one of the best campaigns I've ever played, besides the fact that it's a bit short.

But this is in a way not surprising, and surprising. I'm happy for the lil cod

One thing I hate though, you cant customize your guns with more than one attachment, I wish once at prestige mode with the golden cross (last round of prestige) you could use more than 1 attachment. Some guns are hard to use with iron sights, but I like the silencer, but at the same time, aiming with a red dot sight would be easier...they make it so you gotta choose just 1 :/

agreed. I was totally dissapointed with the only using one thing. It makes it a bit more balanced but still, there should at least be a perk for it.

But in the campaign, its sweet being allowed to uset he SOPMOD m4 and all the other combos.

I'd give up my pistol and grenades if I could have a silencer and laser dot sight. Or a m14 with a silencer and aog scope.

When I first picked up CoD4 and put it in my box. I was expecting something amazing. I was disappointed. Now, no, I'm not a Halo fanboy, I actually think that Halo 3's multiplayert was a bit less fun than CoD4's multiplayer.

I still think that Rainbow Six: Vegas is the best shooter for the Xbox 360. I can't wait for Rainbow Six: Vegas 2! This March!

Actually, I prefer COD4 over Halo also. They did a wonderful job on the spectacular graphics and feel for the game. Halo 3 in my opinion didn't do anything over Halo 2 except add a couple more weapons and upgrade the resolution. To me, they didn't really try to make it a better game.

I dont remember, but are there even driveable vehicles in COD4? I have all the others and they dont...

Vehicles in halo can reck the fun sometimes, when one guy has control of a vehicle and owns everyone else with it, he has the advantage.

I'm majorly suprised by this. I thought CoD 4 had lost a lot of market being shifted to rated M(and also strong langage), but apparently, parents these days'll buy their kids anything.

Also, I dont really support Games set in Modern Wars. Like Having youre head blown off by terrorists...... Or Nukes being made/used, etc.
