Hey everyone, there is a thread in the "Noob" forum for talking about yourself.. but it didnt really spark any conversations. that i could tell, i wanted to get to know people on here.

im new to the whole costume making stuff, but it would be cool to get to know some of you rather than just looking at what your favorite halo game is and what kind of food you like...

also i am very bored right now..

so i guess i'll start off,

i'm 20 years old... i work at gamestop as a manager.. and i live in New England
i really only started making halo armor for the midnight release of Halo Reach, and i have gotten more and more interested in turning this into a hobby. and was actualy thinking of wearing the suit to silly events like comicon etc.

also i drink my coffee with cream and sugar!:cool

lol just when you go in talk to who ever is there about new games coming out.. reach would be perfect, reserve it and talk to them about it. store manger if you can.. and then ask if they are hiring and fill out the application there and keep a high energy and you should be a shoe-in lol

Hi, I'm Matt, and suprisingly, despite having been here for quite some time, I've never actually posted in any introductory threads. Lol But anyway, I guess now wouldn't hurt. I've been onboard with Halo since roughly two years before Halo 3. I'vve got a long story about that, but here isn't quite the place for nonsensical flashbacks, is it now? I don't drink coffee, but I do enjoy the occasional Dr. Pepper, and absolutely love the 405th. It's the best online community I've ever been a part of, and will no doubt occupy my interests for years to come.

On an unrelated note, I enjoy long walks on longshore, and am looking for a dependable elite to settle down with somewhere in the Chi Ceti system.

Im Chase, 19, and from Georgia (GO DAWGS! HAHAHAHA!) I love anything Sci-fi which is why i love Halo and Iron Man so much. I actually hated Halo (just another stupid shooting game ) until about 2 years ago when I finally decided to play and learned the whole back-story... that and being introduced to RVB lol. Also looking at taking some classes in Blacksmithing soon and will hopefully get around to making a "true" Iron Man suit (MK 1).

On a side note... Silent Sanity, I LOVE the sig... 1. Great quote 2. Describes the relationship between myself and my last college roommate...

not too far sadly... I got a slightly modded Recon helm pepped out, as well as various other portions of MK VI and Iron Man armors pepped, but I am prone to moments of ADDness so nothing FULLY finshed yet lol... plus, because of 1. the pets and 2. I still live at home, im not allowed to use anything like resin, Fiberglass, Bondo etc... so I am still looking for ways to strengthen... I had a TON of pics of an IM-Halo hybrid armor I was working on... but in the forum crash it was all lost (and my comp crashed during the forum crap so i lost my back-ups) lol bleh

well i do all of my resin/fiber glassing and bondo outside.. try that ? lol and im not sure of any other way to harden them .. it stinks your comp crashed, lol always keep all your files on an external hard drive or flash stick lol, take some pics and post them up man, im curious to see what they look like , how hard was the recon helmet

yeah... I mean, I know the safety crap and all (read through ALL the stickies when i first joined ) Mom is just of the group that still believes that it causes cancer and such... (that and my almost burning the house down a number of times in the past- purely accidental mind you- has caused a bit of a lack of trust on her part lol)

I know, I know... I DO have a few saved on photobucket... just not used to the new set-up we have here yet to re-post them...

The helm wasn't too bad. For all the hype and fuss that is RECON, it was actually one of the easier Pep's I've done... FAR less painful than the MK VI Chief helm (which was just sad for me lol) Recently found a slightly higher rez, smoother unfold version that I am currently working on (also doing it slightly larger; my first one fits, albeit a bit snugly...)

on an unrelated note.... blackops looks amazing. like omfg i have to get it. hopefully they fix hardcore so that a rock or a toe shot cant kill you. cuz seriously nothing more annoying than getting killed by being hit be a stun grenade. or a megadeath knife that hits you in the toe.
