Its been quite a while since I've been active on the forums, im pretty sure my inbox is full and some people may have been trying to contact me. Sorry about that and ill get on top of it soon, but im still quite busy for a few more weeks with final exams and moving out.

BUT the main thing that has been keeping me busy is over, getting ready for the Armageddon expo. This is the big con where i debuted my first cosplay and first set of Halo armour last year. I came back with an even better suit.

It's not completely done, I'm missing a few decals and i want to dirty it up a little more, like in LANDFALL. as well as re-do the undersuit with a much more accurate material. I will attend to these bits on it when i have some spare time later this year.

Before i show pics, this is ALL made by myself, using either pep files, styrene, foam and sewing, as well as general scratch building and finding appropriate parts around the house. The only piece i didn't make was the visor (one of rubes) and the knife (a kershaw responder, which i purchased on ebay).

I won best technical in the cosplay comp, not what i was going for (was hoping for best overall) but i cant really complain.

anyway, enough talk, here are the few pics I've uploaded so far, we are going to do a proper photoshoot with it some time soon for some more badass photos.

p0rtalman, you have the mad skills! I think it's crazy you didn't win best overall, but hey, you did win in one category. :)

Love to see more pics.

Thanks everyone, new pics are up on the first post. Please comment and let me know what you think of the armour!

BOOM!! Landfall! Looks great! Nice paint job, good balance and ratio of part sizes, the the little details to make it all come together. Glad to see you back from your vacation!

That's sick! The whole thing is awesome

by the way, how did you get so much detail into the AR?

Holy crap thats awesome!!!, P0rtalman or anyone else can you send me some links/tips to build it, im also doing the WETA ODST, and i have the helm, torso, and front packs pepped, but i dont know what to do after pepping and resin, such as connecting all the packs and inserting the visor. REALLY want this done before Halloween or at least have it done!!!! And again that is a sweet suit! :)

Oh and can some direct me to a COG Lancer Pep file?

Thats cool, but i need to know, what kind of printers do you guys use to print out pepakura and what types of paper do you use for it, and how do you get that armor progress thing on the signature because i downloaded almost all the files (I need the gauntlets and the shins, the knees, and the boot toe cover) can anyone answer these questions?

Regular printer works fine, I use card stock because its a lot tougher than regular printer paper which is also widely recommended for pepakura, as for the armor progress thing i don't know so anyone else how do you get that? When you print your files remember to check the printer settings to make sure you have the right measurements, and check print preview to check if the pieces or off the page or missing

What do you mean by regular printer? What type of printer do you use? I use a HP LaserJet P1006, and where do I get cardstock and how much does it cost? Also call me at 661-313-3886 to give me a full answer.

A regular printer is a regular printer. IF it prints a sheet, it should be called a printer. And if it's not pink, then it's a regular one.

Posting your # will just get yourself spammed.

Nice suit Portalman.
