this is a question for the animators and modelers, I have a friend with a 3d printer (makerbot) and to make my armor build easier I decided to pep many parts without all the tiny details, then I will print them with the 3d printer and attach them to the pep models. I have pepakura designer and can export the pdo files to an obj file and then import it into 3dstudio or into solidworks, the problem is I need to make it a solid and not a mesh, then cut off the parts I want to print and export them as a stl file. does anyone know how to do this or what programs to use?
