Custom visor tinting

I have a helmet visor CAD model that I would like made into an actual visor, I have tried one myself but it's not 100% perfect, this one would be the EVA visor from halo 3

You've tried one yourself already eh? What method did you try? I know lots of folks like to do the vacuum-form route, others prefer to resin-pint the visor, and others make them by cutting plastic by hand.
