I've been looking at this "double visor" trick and I'm thinking the same thing could be done by using a thin sheet of lexan (plexiglass) for the front piece instead of using another actual visor. The lexan is clear, so you'd still see the gold mirror under it, but you'd also have the effect of that upper layer... thoughts on this?

I've played around with it a little, but it doesn't have quite the same effect. Since the lexan is clear it doesn't really show the detail very well. Also, since the lexan is flat, it doesn't contour to fit the visor very well. It just works better to use 2 motorcycle visors.
