Update [5/6/09] - As of today and as far as I have found out, all hotels listed here show themselves to be sold out for a stay spanning Sept. 3rd - 8th after checking availability on their respective websites. This doesn't mean all hope is lost, but if you haven't booked a hotel yet, you'll might just be walking/riding/driving a bit further to all the action.

Hai Everybody! So I finally got around to making a reservation, so here we go:

Sharing: I will be looking for up to 6 people to cram into this room. I know it's still early in the game and some people wont know if they'll make it or not till the last minute. I'll house anyone that gets stuck in between a rock and a hard place if need be.

Hotel: The Hyatt Regency Atlanta (Host Hotel)

Time Frame [Days and Nights you'll be staying]: Thursday Sept. 3 - Tuesday Sept. 8 (day before and day after)

Room Rate: $159 per night x 6 nights = $954. So depending on how many people bunk up with me, the cost will be split evenly amongst us.

Other Info:
-I requested a room with 2 Double beds and allowed Smoking
-Party Animals Allowed

NOTE: Already have 2 confirmed roommates

Time Frame [Days and Nights you'll be staying]: Right now I have reservations for Thursday Sept. 3 - Sunday Sept. 6 because that was all they have available right now. As time goes on I'll be extending my reservation to be from Thursday Sept. 3 - Tuesday Sept. 8, guaranteed. Maybe I'll throw in an extra day or 2... depends on how many people are stayin in this room with me.

(Couldn't book the 3rd/Thursday because I'll already be short with vacation time next year with the 2-week honeymoon in May.)

Room Rate: $175 per night/tax x 3 nights = $603.

Sharing: Fairly sure that I will be having another friend of mine and his wife bunking with us, but he was supposed to come last year and unfortunately had to cancel. As of right now, I'm full though.

Throwing a bump on this for two reasons.

One to remind everyone as of today you have exactly 4 months until this year's Dragon*Con.

Two, I still need a place to stay. So if anyone has a floor they could spare, let me know.

I don't think I'll be able to get a place on my own this year so I'll only be able to go as long as I can find someone to shack up with(Get you mind out of the gutter ).

I did sort of find something, but I'm not going to book it unless I know someone(s) can share it.

But the Inn at the Peachtree (best western) still has rooms available (only king size beds)!!! It's $129 a night. Call them while you still can!

i finaly made a Reservation at the marriot for a room for 4 but the price is a little hight at 315/night , i take it from 3 september to monday 7 september ,so if you want a place you can contact me and the price is 315$ for each person but if we are more than 4 the cost can be less .

i just cancel the reservation because i dont have see the final total for the room and its just too hight and i dont think people want to pay that mutch for a room .

We're paying about $175....I believe....per night that's about standard for a d*con host hotel at the dragon*con rate. Now they're selling them at regular rates because all the d*con rooms are sold out. You get what you pay for...the walk of fame is right down stairs and everything else is not far at all.
