My guess is that they just worked on it really hard, just like someone that uses Pepakura does. They find some cardboard, cut it up, and if it works then leave it, if it doesn't then change it. <-- My theory of life btw

You've come to the right place! So far I've made all of my things out of cardboard. Here are the steps I take in making a cardboard item.

1. Once i know what I'm going to make, I get a few referance pictures.

2. I collect all of the supplies I need. Usually scissors, a hotglue gun, enough cardboard, a ruler, a pencil, and an exacto knife.

3. I start building. Take your time!

After that you just finish it the way you want to finish it. Fiberglass, paper mache, etc.

It may take a few tries to get what you want but don't give up after your first attempt. ;)

people look towards card board as a cheap way out "usually" and their final outcome looks pretty cheap "usually". my opinion is take a little time and effort and your armor will turn out great whether its cardboard, pep'd, or molded.

also, this is my second post, but still...

its easier to make it fit u instead of making test sizes with pep... its WAY cheaper for me... but i still use pep for great quality.
