Just cuz it looks like that doesnt mean it is a trace, I have drawn stuff by looking at a picture and trying to remake it on paper! Do you think that Leonardo DiVinci traced the Mona Lisa just because it looked like it was real?

Well that is the exact picture i used, I didn't trace it but i did use a grid to make sure everything was the right size. I do have some free hand stuff without the grid but its really not all that great.
