Well that's a mouthful-The Final
Well, here goes...
I've always loved Kingdom Hearts, the characters, the locales, but Birth By Sleep was my favorite. I originally was going to try to build the majority over winter break, but got super sidetracked for no real reason. Skip forward to about mid-January. My girlfriend had mentioned that our local convention was coming up a couple times before, but then I found out that it was in 2 months. ****. And so it started. I basically gave all my weekends and such to the build, which was greatly slowed by the fact that it was a scratch build, and I had little experience with such. Every single piece of it is made of foam, of course, besides the keyblade. I'm sure that there are many non-canon aspects, such as the keyblade, helmet, lack of shoes, and various other mis-scaled pieces are easy to spot, but I'm happy with it. I'll start by uploading some pics, and later.
The website just said I wasn't logged in, so I have to redo this part. Boo Hiss.
All pieces are made with .5in EVA foam from harbor freight. It's sealed with plastidip, and a little bit with flex seal. A note about flex seal, I've seen others say it cannot be used as a sealant, but I found out that it works when smoothed by finger. Most imperfections and lines were covered with Alex-plus caulk. I had some shoe covers, but they didn't stay, I literally walked out of them on the way to the con. The whole deal is held together by hotglue, and strapped with that and black elastic. I'm going to put more up tomorrow, I'm super low on battery.
