Hey all! Newbie here and super excited to get rolling on my first kit, going for an ODST build but I have some questions I am hoping you all can answer for me.

I want to do something similar to this image
Reff-2.jpg
(Obviously I will customize and tailor it to myself)
I am planning on using EVA foam, I found the templates on here but I am having a hard time sizing and printing them correctly.
I am also curious what other people with ODST builds use for soft parts and under suits, I am terrible with sewing so I am avoiding it as much as possible haha.

Even though this is my first build I want to do this right, shortcuts or cut corners, so any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I look forward to posting my progress here!

When I did mine, I brought a pair of Black Cargos and a Black long sleeve shirt for my undersuit c:
I also used EVA Foam at 11mm thick to make everything. Pictures in my thread (Link in signature)

I'm a noob working on an ODST as well. For foam there are several great threads on here. http://www.405th.com/showthread.php?t=42014 might be of particular interest for foam. Note: I've never done a foam build before so the other link I share may not be helpful (although I would think the process would be similar if not the same).

http://www.405th.com/showthread.php?t=31627 - HaloGodess' "How to Scale" and More Tutorial

As for undersuits, most ODST threads I've seen they used black pants and shirt like Mesh did. This would be the easiest and probably most cost effective. For mine I'm leaning towards a subdued urban camo as of late. It's up to you how you want to do it.

Can't wait to see what you build.

Thanks for the links! The scaling tutorial was definitely one of the most helpful although I am still struggling with printing out properly scaled blueprints, it is becoming pretty frustrating. I think for undersuits I am going to keep it simple, especially for my first build and go with Black and Camo, maybe a compression shirt to help with heat and whatnot.

I am going to be posting pics of my progress hopefully later this week!
