I'm going to venture out and say, No. It might be possible, but it's unlikely. Lots of people lie so that they will seem "special".
I've played games where when one persons Xbox freezes, there will be a clone standing where he was. If he re-enters the game, the clone will still be there. It does nothing but stand there. It is not invincible, and it will not try to kill you. There are also the modded maps that have many clones.

There was a ghost in Halo 2 lockout, it was called the ghost of lockout (it was a white spartan).Robogenisis said:

I could easily make that video by myself. It's not that hard to null out the running animation to make him slide, and I can make it so you could always get a sniper headshot, even if you were looking away, so I'm guessing it isn't that hard to do that with a nade. The fact that he never showed the three of them at the same time with the scoreboard is suspicious too. Also, why did he just HAPPEN to be recording his random session at the time? Plus, if Bungie was able to create a "Ghost" that is able to jump around and chase people, why didn't they employ this into campaign. The AI in Halo 2 couldn't hardly figure out how to get around a box.

and your not supposed to mod the xbox either, but here is the problem with this whole ghost theory and the reason Bungie has never put an A.I. ability into multiplayer
they cannot get bots to play properly on an open map, they closest thing to it in Halo 3 was some guys that were on machine guns shooting you as you tried to take an old version of High Ground that only concept sketches have been released of
so unless its a modded game and you have a small team of very skilled guys that have the ability to add code to the game and not only get the AI to move around, hover, be invincible, etc and not break the game its not gonna happen, so unless any of you actually figure out a way to prove it seeing that as stated above if your recording chances are its BS, so this ghost is nothing,
and as for the files that you "claimed" to have found, while its possible they exist they can be locked down and only a modder would have the ability to unlock it see GTA: Hot Coffee controversy
