Just something to mention, mutliplayer with bots works on both Halo 2 XBox and Halo 3.

There's a SP MP mod for Halo 2, and Halo 3 has online co-op.

and your not supposed to mod the xbox either, but here is the problem with this whole ghost theory and the reason Bungie has never put an A.I. ability into multiplayer

It's not illegal to mod an XBOX (360)... you are allowed to do anything you want with it... you own it.
But the reason modding is discouraged is because people can download and use pirate copies of the games on the xbox.

There is nothing wrong with what i do (and i have never cheated online, or even used my game xbox online)

Lol... i have never actually seen the ghost...
I can get you some pics of the actual gamefiles wich prove the bot...

(last time i used them, was to extract 3d models of halo 2...)

I've looked all around the lockout.map files, but didn't see anything. Maybe I missed something?

ZOMG! Noob Alert! I am almost certain I am the most Experienced Modder for any of the 3 games across all platforms on these forums. There certainly was no 'weird' or 'ghost' files within the assets of Lockout.map. :/ I can confirm that, HANDS DOWN.

The idea of 'The ghost of Lockout' came from a very rare event in witch some MASSIVE lag took place when a person was joining another person's game. The video of 'The Ghost' can be found HERE. The video was released years ago over at High Impact Halo, I can even recall posting in the video makers thread :/.

Its only an extremely bad connection to the host. Now stop fighting over how there are secret files that makes this ub0r ghost come out and kill everyone, or how your friend got Bungie to tell him there was some secret ghost :/.

I'm not so sure about that, I have been modding halo (ce) since 2003

Finnish, you said you saw a wierd thing in Lockout. Either take a screenshot of it, tell us what it is called, or tell us where to find it, or else it is fictional.

It amazes me how ready people are to believe whatever anyone tells them. You can almost never believe anything ANYONE tells you on Xbox LIVE, unless they have proof. If something happened in a game, you can use theater, but they often say "It doesn't show up in theater". Whatever you do in a game will show up in the theater. Even if the ghost doesn't show, you would still see people randomly dying.

Okay, so I'm not insane. Just for kicks, I brought up the lockout.map and looked around a bit. Nothing at all.

Unless I get a file location or a screen cap of the 'ghost' file, I'm not going to believe anything about there being a 'Ghost in the game'. Or perhaps... the game has developed its own ghost! Brilliant! Like Ghost in the Shell! ROFL

its not illegal unless you get caught :D, and how did we go from ghost town to lockout, even tho lockout is the best halo 2 level ever

You were talking about the Ghost Town Ghost (which doesn't exist), and Finnish mentioned the Lockout Ghost (which also doesn't exist). I was going to mention it earlier, but I was in a hurry. Anyway, the Lockout ghost is much easier to investigate, mainly because it is older, and we can look at lockout's inner workings easier.

Ill try to get the evidence... it's just difficult because my desktop (wich has all my software in it... and the files) is in finland... so i will need to start modding from scratch...

i don't think you would belive me, but i saw something in isolation, me and Te Dragon Ninja were investagating isolation for a ghost in halo3 since i heard there was one, we spent at least an hour and a half looking for it. when we gave up, both of us were in monitor form, the game said GAME OVER and a last look before the screen turned black i saw a flood-like leg run behind a wall into the underground. i went back into theater, i couldnt take a pic or record as a clip, but he was there, a flood infested elite spawned at a spawn point and ran into underground at the last 10 seconds. i even tried to save it as a film, but the box had an X in it and said i could not save game.

stupid game

Flying Ninja, Thats a clear cut lie.

Most all of you disregarded my post and should have learned from it that there is no ghost on ANY map(s). It all originated from a Live game that had a connection issue and I even linked you all to the video.

Locked because this topic will go on forever with pointless arguments regarding inaccurate info and made up stories regarding 'ghosts' within the Halo games :/.
