Hows it goin guys & gals.
Did some searching on the internet for various prop & costume ideas. Found a TON of stuff on Star Wars and other things....but never really Halo or Gears of War.
I know this forum isn't for Gears...but I figured hey...Halo is a microsoft product...and so is Gears to a degree. And all the techniques work the same way.
But don't think Im here just for Gears. I loves me some Master Chief armor. lol. And hopefully I'll be able to get some decent props and whatnot made to show off here.
The materials I've worked with so far have been vaccum-formed plastics, wood (very little) and resin. I haven't had much experience with fiberglass or rubber moldings, but would definitely like to get some more experience.
if I were to make some Halo armor, I'd have to go with one of the custom sets. I've seen a lot of master chiefs, but no other spartan variations. So I'd have to do that just to be different. hehe.
But in a nutshell, I'm here to learn and hopefully contribute in someway to this community.
I'm a graphic designer in Aiken, South Carolina. Pretty much a 9 to 5 job all week. So I've got the weekends to screw around with my money & ideas. But never really can get anything off the ground because of expenses. Working on stuff by yourself also just isn't fun to me. So I'm looking for some other partners in crime.
Anyone on here from around the South Carolina area? Perhaps we could hook up and work on some stuff.
