wow. great job. I know the middle is wider because of vacuuform but is the middle actually wider in h3 vs the previous halos?

it looks a little wider here.

EDIT: this is just a general helmet question. i'm not saying your work is off in any way.

Yeah it may be...looks like it a little....we can easily not trim the helmet as much to get that detail.

Looking good man... I know your still working on it so you may have already done this.. just a reminder that the halo 3 helmet has 3 stair steps on the top unlike the 2 in halo 2.

Im not sure...but in all of the Bungie released pictures such as this one.

There are only three stairsteps but in the Halo 3 commercial there are four?

Yeah I see what your saying... There is a slight hint of it on that pic you posted but its not as deep as the ones on the commercial. I guess if you painted it with a little shadow like the above, it would work... Again good work, looking good.

the steps don't look too deep. maybe a 1/4 inch? might be a good place to put vents. . . thats what I'm gonna do.
