Halloween 2008!

So one of my favorite days is coming up soon and my girlfriend asked me what I am going to be this year. Ive been Jack Sparrow two years running and I want something new.

I only have a mark six helmet so being a spartan is out.

I was thinking about being a sith or jedi.

What are you guys planning on being this year?

Batman Or Joker should be quite big, Ironman has sort of faded slightly and is more difficult.

Joker isn't very difficult if you don't need accuracy, and the scars look very chic.

Jedi is easy but may out you as a nerd

Yeah, sadly the same goes here. Us Aussies don't do much for Halloween, which is disappointing. But this year the weekend of Halloween is the same weekend as Armageddon 08, so ill be meeting David Hewlett and Michael Shanks on Halloween
and the next day (which will be when you Americans have Halloween) ill be in my Mjolnir kicking it back at the con.

I have a shirt that says this with a picture of a spoon on it and I still get funny looks when I wear it. A third who see it think it's clever, another third think its cheesy, and the final third think it means serial killer. :rolleyes

The last third usually aren't people I like to converse with anyway, so it all works out.

Also hoping to have this armor project done by then. Did the belt and the shoulders last night. Best thing about a severance package is all the free time... Ugh. Still pepakura is a great way to keep a designer's hands busy while he looks for work.

Another cheapy costume idea is the Clark Kent changing into superman costume. Get a superman shirt. Wear it under a suit. Have the tie loose and the buttons on the dress shirt undone - and always be taking off our glasses and pulling off the tie like you are about to shed the whole suit and take off....

I just started my project a few days ago, so my armor definitely wont be ready for halloween. my friends and i are planning on doing at least 2 or 3 different theme parties. we are thinking about the DHARMA initiative from lost, or just the regular cast, but we will definitely be doing a ghostbusters theme. we have the uniforms and proton packs already because they were our dragoncon costumes. we met up with some of you guys and got some pictures while we were there.

I'm going to dress up as "Hunk" from resident evil. fairly cheap All you need is a airsoft body armor, black bdus, knee and elbow pads, Umbrella patch, Us standard gas mask, and black airsoft helmet.
