Halo 1 Marine Armor (on the cheap)

ok here is a quick rundown of whats going on with this build.
so far i have;
pepped 2 marine (helmets due to scaling problems)
2 marine shoulders

what i am planning to do next is try using a thing called modroc (plaster of Paris on gauze sheets) to act as a cheaper substitute for rondo.

but i am at a dilemma of what i should use to waterproof the card any ideas i have 24 hours to decide.

If you want something cheap, use water proof paint primer or wood glue. That should seal it.
