Hello 405th, I have returned!
After months of being away I am coming back to the community. I've been working on and off for years joining in 2011 and only completing one project way back in 2012. That project was Agent Maine's (The META) helmet from the popular web series, Red vs. Blue. It was completed just in time for the release of Halo 4. Since then I've been through multiple delays, starting projects that I wasn't able to complete, and other things. However, I now have some structure in my life that will allow me to start (and complete) my projects from here on out. To kick-start my return, I saw it fitting to test my abilities on a smaller project before moving onto a larger one. What better a project than a remastered Halo 3 EVA helmet. Let's get to it.
First off we need a file to go off, sticking with my original build we will be using the Halo 3 EVA Helmet (Smooth) file uploaded by Chernobyl found here: http://www.405th.com/file-archive.php?do=download&downloadid=855

I edited the file to be larger than my previous build and more in scale with my current head over my...14 year old head.
Next off I thought I would give the spotlight to my old helmet from 2012, as I stated earlier it was my first build and that is shown through closer examination.

As you can see, I wasn't too skilled at bondoing and sanding. The visor is supposed to be the smoothest part of the whole helmet yet has very clear and large dents and scratches.

Look at my detail work, I believe I used a rotary tool with a cutting blade and followed quickly sketched lines made by a sharpie marker.

Don't get me started on the interior if the helmet, I have so much wrong here that I would rather not even talk about it.
Well it's safe to say I have learned a great deal from my last attempt. I know that with my years of half baked projects and input from my fellow community members, this will be a great build.

I have my pages printed and I'm ready to go, lets get started!
