Halo 3 Field Promotions

So im a Gunnery Sergeant grade 2 with 65 exp.
I was wondering how exactly do i skip gunnery sergeants grade 3 and 4.
Do i need a skill level of 10 in every playlist? or just my highest skill?

You just need to be that level in a single playlist, however i do suggest keeping the levels the same through lone wolves, team slayer and team skirmish as that way you become an alround player rather than a 'lone wolf'

cool now go get grade 2 then go get 20 skill and become a captain. I did it in lonewolves. its the easy way and i got lots of achivements along the way.
