Hello everyone! This is my first Thread. I came here because I saw Adam's armor on youtube and followed the link. Thanks to Adam, I have fallen in love with this website. :)

But to the Point!

Resently this was posted on www.bungie.net here about how a Map editor was possible, and I was wondering what you guys thought of the post. I like the DLC part, but only if we can rank other peoples maps. :)

Cheers!

That would be pretty friggin' sweet, yeah.
Wonder how much previous experience it would require though.
Can imagine it wouldn't be the most user friendly application.

But hey, Far Cry Map Editor on Xbox 360 kicked butt! To bad the game sucked. :(

Cheers!

Forge will be awesome, Making maps is difficult though since it would be based on the honor system :/ people would make maps Completely unbalanced for their advantage, and no one wants that.

but Forge=Awesomeness.
Playing God ftw!
and it is possible to make it rain crates and Fusion cores ;-)

Likewise. I was thinking more in the ways of the general public.
Not saying everyone doesn't know their way around a computer, but a lot of people don't. I guess those aren't the kind of people who'd be interested in making maps anyways.

I think you might be wrong. They have never tasted the fruits of player content yet. If halo had a map editor, the world of consoles would for ever change.

Cheers!

:dee: Arrrrg! Yes, they do not see the gold!

:christa: I pity the fools!

:Steve: Prehaps its time to look into this more and see if we can uncover weather there really is plans for a H3 Map Editor.

:gun5: Not as long as the Ninjas from Bungie are around!

:shifty ninja: our arrows will block out the sun!

:humpy: Then we will hide in the shade.

:ninja: ...

:starwars:

*god I love emotions! But yeah, I would love me some map editing fun in Halo 3. :)*

Cheers!

Aye, so would I :)
Would be a very, very nice touch.
Not only that, it would extend the lifetime of the game quite a bit :)
Not that it wouldn't have a long lifetime anyway, just look at H2 ^^

Sony says there leaving PS3 out on the market for 10 years. MS is going to Milk the 360 for all its worth. Besides the next two halo's, don't expect much. So I think this will make everything fine and dandy.

Sony seems to be all talk. "We're gonna blow the 360 out of the water!" Console sucks. Games suck. General consensus around my campus. All that money towards an 11 pound POS. When Sony says something, I generally have a wind tunnel moment. In one ear, out the other. They could say that they have a game better than Halo, but unless they nail the constant 30 seconds of awesome moments (those who have watched the Halo 2 Special Edition DVD know what that's about) then the game will not only pale compared to Halo, but be transparent.

um... well I hate to break it to you, but Sony supports porn, and blue ray. I get way more then 30 seconds of awesome moments with that then a game. More like several HOURS! And Did I mention its high deff? Now I can see even her herpy scars covered up lightly in makeup! yes

Sorry, but Sony>Xbox 360. Blue Ray FTW :$fftopic:

Seriously though, PS3 is not that bad. Its great for modding! In any case this has nothing to do with map editing with halo. Lets get back on topic eh? :)

Cheers!

Didn't the porn industry go with HD DVD?

Back to topic: Do you guys think I should start a poll on who would think DLC map editor would be FTW for Halo 3?

Cheers!

That could be interesting, my vote would be a definitive "yes".
For the editor that is.
And for the poll for that matter.

Choice two: Yes

Choice three: OMG ITS SO YES

Choice four: I am a fool, but I say yes anyway!

yep, that sounds like a good poll that is fair and balanced. Fox News FTW!

Cheers!
