Halo 3 Marine

A few months ago I started a halo 3 Marine for Halo outpost discovery Anaheim. I “finished” in time for the con and wore it Sunday. Other than that I haven’t really shown it off. I don’t really like how it turned out especially the back of the chest piece. For a first build it could have been a lot worse. Initially I planned to throw it out after outpost discovery ended, I have since changed my mind and instead i’m gonna revamp it with a new back piece, paint job, and some details to get rid of the plain look to it. Any input for what else I should do would be greatly appreciated. The majority of the suit is 3D printed with the exception being the back peice which is Eva foam. I have a few other projects I’m working on so the revamp will probably progress slowly. I will post updates as they happen.

I think it looks dang good, probably not a good idea to throw away. I can understand redoing the back of the chest piece though, it seems the weathering there was a bit more intense then the rest of the suit. Good job though!

Thanks, I’m not gonna toss it anymore I do wanna make the parts more detailed though. The prints didn’t have much detail to begin with. I’m not sure how to go about that though without reprints. I could add some rivets but that’s about the only idea I have now. The chest piece is scaled wrong and made with crappy foam it’s gonna need a complete redo.

legit good effort there. My first halo costume was the H3 Marine made entirely out of EVA foam minus helmet. I think I only wore it maybe 3 times before I got frustrated with the costume and just put it in storage. The helmets on my display rack and I've gutted some areas of the suit for my ODST project. But it was nice to get up and go with fellow halo buddies back in the day.
