Halo 4 Gen 2 Mk VI Multiplayer

Hey all! I'm starting a Halo 4 Gen 2 MK VI build, just early stages of pep and research. I usually am more efficient when it comes to this sort of request, but I'm asking if any of you have some good close ups or high res pics, or screenshots, of the generation 2 Mark VI. I've searched for a while now, and only seem to find the same few pics, and it's always just the front (I need back, sides, etc)

Any reference help would be much appreciated!!!

Will post some pics of the chest as I'm getting it put together. Updates to come.

We have raw, in-game models and textures in the Archives - if you know your way around a modelling program it wouldn't be a hard fetch for you to create your own references from the resources we have here on-site.

It's not the Mk VI, but Master Builder has some really great reference shots of the undersuit in his thread here.

that sounds really awesome and helpful, but I do not know modeling programs :/ not to mention, I don't even know what files those are

Not too exciting, but here's my first update. I was a bit intimidated by taking on this build, what with it's high level of detail, and VERY complex pep files. But, taking my time and going at a slow pace has shed any doubt I had about building this. What really helps is reducing the number of individual pieces per file by moding the pep file through joining pieces together that don't need to be separate. Case in point, I took this chest piece from 340 pieces, down to about 273. Makes quite a difference, haha. Any who, after two nights, I have the front of the chest pepped out:

Once again, if any of you have screen grabs, or nicely detailed pics of the Halo 4 MK VI, I would be very thankful if you could send them my way or post them here. More updates to come as I start the back of the chest tonight!

Slow isn't always bad. Especially with smaller pieces, and folds. Looks like is paying off for you, nice clean pep! Just the way I like it!

Alright, I got super lazy and just gave up on this build, but no more! Also, nothing like an awesome convention to set a deadline for you and get you nice and motivated, haha. So, moved onto the bicep/shoulder piece. Fun, easy model to build, which is nice because I had to re-size this thing four times until I was happy with it. Here are a few pep pics:

What pep files you using. I want to make a MK VI build but there's just so many files I can't decide lol. Anyways I like the way your build looks, and if you could hook me up with the pep files that would be awesome.

Not a very exciting update here, but a little more progress has been made:

So I have the two shoulder/bicep pieces, and the full chest piece started with the initial single layer of resin on the outside. Also added some custom braces for the chest and bicep to prevent warpage. Next comes laying down some fiberglass! More to come soon.

Looking good bro! I always did like the look of that torso variant.
Thank you very much!! Took a long time to pep, but completely worth it.

Nice pep work. Everything looks to be shaping up really well!
Thank you as well! Slowly, but surely.

Ok, so a couple more progress pics, kinda boring.

Got the shoulder "thruster" things half glassed:

Got the biceps half glassed:

And a few of the connecting areas of the chest piece:

I've noticed that I really like taking my time, and glassing pieces a couple sessions at a time, rather than a whole piece all in one sitting. For me, it seems to significantly lower the possibility for warping, or pieces not fitting together correctly after they've been split, ie the chest piece. That's it for today, gotta get cracking on peping the helmet...

Alright, so I have the chest piece split, and fiberglassed, and started a bit of bondoing. The thrusters are sanded down and ready for spot putty. And the ab and cod pieces have details drawn on that I plan on making with my dremel. Enjoy!
