Halo 4 Master chief 1st foam build

Well guys and girls long time no post. I've been really busy with life, moved out of my parents house and also got engaged. Working 2 jobs will also keep you very busy, but in my free time I've been working on my first foam build. I set my ODST project a side for right now to work on master chief. I love the way the new armor looks and told my self I had to build it. As I said before this is my first foam build, so I'm still learning and would love some opinions and tips. I also love the foam method over paper and fiberglass just because of how fast you can work. I've been using Rainbow dash's thread as a reference, if you haven't seen his thread then you should check it out, he has pretty sweet build. these are my biceps and shoulders.


These are my forearms, I still have to go back and fix some pieces on these.





My chest, still working on as well, was hard to find the right scale for my body.

Now all together. I will be posting more pictures in the near future as my build continues. Let me know what y'all think and any tips are really appreciated.

Here is a little update, I forgot to take pictures of my helmet. I bought my helmet from Jerm over at armory props, going to repaint it because I'm not to happy with the paint job at the moment. I also finished the back of the chest and attached those parts.

Yay! Another MC I'm working on this set of armour as well at the moment, and I have to agree with you; the new design looks awesome! (Still love the classics too)

This is some very fine work you've got here, especially for a first foam build! The seams all look pretty clean, and from what I can see it all looks like it's scaled well. Be good to see a pic of you in it to get a better idea of scale.

Anyway keep it up, it's always nice seeing how other people approach the same armour, can't wait to see how this turns out!

Thanks Edward yea man I just checked out your thread and I loving your armor. Pretty sweet details and the helmet paint job is boss. What color did you use for the base? I can't find a green that I'm happy with. Also guys my build progress might be a little slower, just had surgery yesterday they removed a tumor out of my left ear and so the doctor said I need to take it easy for a few. But I will jump back on it ASAP here's some pictures on how it fits me I know there not that great but I guess it gives y'all some idea.

In regards to paint, it was hard for me to find a green suitable for Master Chief. Even the one I settled on wasn't quite right IMO, a little to far on the light side, but after some black washing it left it with a much smokier finish. The paint I used was White Knight Touch Up paint, used for fixing up metal sheets and whatnot. The colour was Eucalypt Green, with a satin finish.

And man that thing looks awesome all suited up! Looks like it's scaled really well, only thing I would say is that in the first pic the torso's tilted at a bit of a weird angle, but you probably already knew that. Nice work!
