Hello, I’m posting my Interceptor build log here - all Eva foam. There’s still plenty to do - assembly, details, gap filling, clips and connectors, legs, helmet, firearms etc! This is my second armour build, I learned a *lot* from my mistakes on the first!

Time for an update! Most is built, I still have to start on the boots and a CQB helmet. The main struggle now will be filling gaps. And I suspect the ridiculous bicep armour may be too big for a real human...I’ll replace that if it doesn’t fit.

I’ve completed the torso construction! It still needs gap filling, but it’s a great feeling.

I’m slowly starting back on this build after the psychological exhaustion this year has brought. I *really* need some advice please!

I have to put on the chest before the upper arms (which comprise the undershot upper arm and shoulder, and the large shoulder armour).

The problem is the chest badly restricts my arm movement across it. I can reach across it to touch my other upper arm with my fingertips, essentially.

So I have a problem. I’d like to put the upper arms on and take them off myself if at all possible. Of course, my wife and son can do this at conventions, but I’d like the solo option if I can.

I’m not convinced about magnets, because someone can bash them apart accidentally. I realise this may be an impossible task, but I thought I’d ask for ideas before I give up on the ‘solo suit-up’....

Some suit photos earlier in the thread if that helps. I’m willing to edit the upper arms if it helps. The undershot shoulder is glued to the shoulder plate, but is velcroed to the upper arm/bicep piece.

It’s done! The full suit (two small hip pieces not shown) build is done. After painting it I’ll fit the visor film. Seriously considering leaving it plastidip black with small white markings. A couple of photos show how the abs and spine work. I’ll use a proper snood under the helmet.
