Halo Points Finally Redeemable

Though I am in the U.S. I can say it is a load of bull its in Canada and U.S. only, Besides the fact that in order for us to get the points we have to buy action figures that are either to tight too pose, to loose to pose, of just fall apart.

thank you McFarlane

I was excited about the lithograph until I looked at the larger image and realized the artist. McFarlane is such a hack. And since I couldn't care less about recon, katanas or oddly golden Spartans (Master 3PO?), this does little good for me.

Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate that they're giving people incentive to collect (I haven't seen that since the early 90s with the TMNT figures... I'm sure it's happened again since then but that's the last time I've noticed), I'm just really not thrilled with the items offered, especially since you still have to pay shipping.

Why the hell can we not just enter are UPC online? I am not going to send out my UPC codes when my mail man loses half the crap we receive, who knows what would happen if I mailed something out. and exactly like chuck said, I am not thrilled with having to pay for shipping.

Yea, especially since I like to keep my stuff in the package, I only opened enough to get the lithograph, even though I easily have enough points to get at least 2 of everything. :cautious:

So, they should just give this stuff away for free?

I honestly thought the "gold" figure would be a gold armored chief with a painted undersuit, like the normal figures.

This looks like something a Leprechaun pulled out of its rectum.

The active camo Recon is such a joke.

Seriously if you want clear recon you can save yourself 300 points and make a mold of one of the red or blue Recon sets. Volia. All the recon armor you could ever want, and probably a better quallity than McFarlame.

Seems like a lot of effort, for a small reward.

Exactly. If I really were to do that, it'd take me a week and about $20 to ship those points to a friend. Then another few weeks and MORE money having the item sent to a friend, then another week or so and MORE money to get the item shipped from that friend to me.

In all you're looking at about $50-$60 and a month for your item(s) - is the reward really, REALLY all that worth it?

Hell no, not to me. I spent a lot of money on my figurines, I'm happy with what I have, and for a decent price, somebody else can enjoy the benefits of the collecting I've done as well. I can't ask for more.

It cannot cost $20 to send an envelope with some cut outs overseas. I've sent small packages to australia, finnland, the UK and Spain, all costing me no more then $20 total. I highly doubt you will be forking more then $10 total for mailing it out and recieving the package, which will obviously be just as small.

I went and checked the postage. £10 (roughly $20) - and it costs me that to send FROM the UK to ESTONIA, for heaven's sake. Don't be surprised, US postage is cheap compared to European prices.
