Halo Reach Custom Mark Vi Foam Build

Since I've changed the design of my reach build, i decided to post my progress under a new title that describes the build better.
The building part is near enough finished, just the shins and boots to go. Then its just some detailing, sealing and painting. Also finishing the pepakura parts, hopefully i should reach my deadline at the end of November for MCM.

I'm going the classic look. The color scheme will be black, blue and some white details. The visor will be black or gold depending on whats cheapest, with a clear acrylic visor over the top to add the details.

So basically this but a different color.


I may add some grenades, pockets and pouches if i have time.

So here's my progress so far.

The helmet and knife's ready for resin and filler.


The chest, needs neatening up.


The belt, needs some details.


The Thighs, need the bars put in and neatening up.


The Forearms, need detailing.


Suited up with the under suit XD.


I'm also going to order some paint ball gloves and motocross armour to go over the under suit.

I should get the shins built today, and maybe the boots. Then its just the pepakura stuff.

Should have another update some time this week. XD

what file are you using for your chestplate and how much difficulty did you have with it? the entire suit looks amazing so far cant wait to see the end product

Very nice. Something interesting about that rainbow deal. I hope it continues to go well for you, You'r foam work is nice and clean. I remember doing the chest, that thing was a HUGE hassle. Like 170 pieces right? Worth it in the end though. Mine sits on a mannequin now. I'm excited to see more on this one. You did a great job sizing the pieces.

I'm back with a huge update ! The suit is built , just a bit of sealing and painting to go until its finished. XD

The Suit all together. Minus the thighs and knees, as the caulk is still drying on them.

I' still got just about a month before MCM, and need to build a weapon. Other than a Magnum, what do you think would be a fairly simple weapon to build ?

Update time XD.

The suits all painted up, just some finishing touches, patching up and strapping to do.

The helmet has been resined, rondoed and I've started to apply some filler.
