Halo Reach Jun build

Hey all!

For ages, Jun has been one of my all time favorite in-game Spartans, I just never really bothered enough to consider building his armor set. I’ve been entranced (and still am) with my Halo 4 Venator set, and if you’ve ever met me at an event, pride myself that I’m the only individual with a full set of Venator who troops with it.

Anywho, Harri51 finished a (massive) Jorge build recently for one of my new friends, Ender Of Time , who lives around a half hour or so away. After meeting up at GenCon not that long back, I recently had him over at my house and helped fix and strap some parts of the armor and, seeing this monster of a man fill out this monster of suit, really inspired me to start my journey with an old favorite.

So, please - enjoy my build thread as we work through together the intricacies of Reach armor 13 years after the game released.

I am so glad just seeing my jorge made this happen. I'm excited to watch(and hopefully help) you create this masterpiece

To begin, I decided that my chest armor was the first place to start. Why? I dunno. Couldn’t tell ya. Typically I like to start with helmets, but.. this time? Switched it up. No clue.

For me, I like to pull my templates from pepakura builds. So, I found my MkV torso, took some quick measurements, and spent the last 3 days cutting, folding, and gluing the torso together. Overall, I think this scale is perfect and I’m just glad I got it that first time.

Next step? Cut it up, use its corpse for foam templates, and hopefully that part of the build goes well. Not sure what I’ll do next- probably a cod piece? Biceps? Either of those two.

Wait Jorge inspired this!? My man! I am super excited to watch this build. Thank you for helping Craig out. It is hard with the distance to make it perfect this first time. But, you are a hero in my book and i am going be watching this like a hawk.

Oh my man!!! So happy to see this happening! Jun is the silent Hero of the Halo Franchise cause without him there would be no Spartan II Program!

Yes!! With us in armor, we’re almost comparable to the actual size difference between the two, about 5-7 inches. (Plus, I don’t think there’s a trooped Jun build in the Midwest? A few Kat’s and Emile’s I think, but no Jun!)

Spent my day yesterday (painfully) cutting out my templates from my pep’d out torso and transferring them to foam.

Spent today after a painful day of grocery shopping for an up-coming Halloween party cutting it out and mentally preparing how to dremel out my edges to glue it.
