Hey Everyone - This might be the wrong area But I need some help. I've wanted to see a Halo movie for as along as the game has been out, I'm an old school filmmaker that TODAY graduated film school. Most of the Halo tv/movie area is just poorly done. I'm making a short film. I don't want to say too much now, mostly because I don't have a ton of answers and I don't want any ideas. BUT I think I will be building close to a life size drop pod as I can for my set.
THE ASK
I need a good suit, maybe even an actor to wear it, not Master Chief but a Spartan. I do have ideas for this suit as far as the look and feel, but I'm not a maker in that way. I'm open to any suggestions here or people that might be interested in helping. I have a 3d printer but I don't have the painting skills or time to finish this in a way that will be good on camera. I'm willing to work with someone in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area (shipping or driving) to get a suit, and maybe a couple props made. The character is not gender specific and will only be defined by the best actor.
STILL INTERESTED?
I have access to very professional camera equipment and studio space. I've been a Halo fan since the Original X-Box, lan parties, OutPost all of it and KNOW how to merge these two mediums together. Any help anyone could offer in my area I'm open to any passionate people that would like be part of something cool. I keep waiting for someone to do the idea I have and just got tired of waiting. Now I'm gonna do it myself.
PAY?
Honestly, probably not. If you're physically here I can feed you and happy to provide material costs for any fabrication. But this is a passion project and my crew will be donating their time. You will receive a credit for any effort in the film and we are a very respectful group of people. Fun is also included.
I do have ideas for a continued story if this were to become anything and likely would need additional help. So pay could come down the line, but obviously no promises.
I wont promote myself on here but I do have some content available for anyone thats interested. I also don't know the rules about contact information, but I'm sure you can contact me on here in a way.
