I'm making the hayabusa suit with katana and all. I was wondering if anyone knew how long the katana is on the spartan's back. I want to try and find one that is similarly scaled to my size. I'm about 5'6 or 5'7

Why dont you fire up your Xbox and go into theater and see what the sword looks like compared to the Spartan, figure out how long it is on your busa, and scale to your size.

Google is your friend. Did a search on "halo hayabusa back pictures". This should be pretty good reference, right?

I was hoping someone would know the size of the top of their head

Because I tried doing the math my self and got about 48 inches for my scale. I'm about 68 inches tall, which makes the sword seem huge. Am i doing my math wrong

I currently don't have an xbox. My mom took it away... Which is absolute BS because I paid for it

that is BS...anyway, from that referance pic, the sword looks like it's as tall as the distance betwen the bottom of the foot to the top of the codpiece.

If you're that uncertain about the length, buy a 60" bamboo stick or another cheap stick of that length that you can cut and discard once you're done.

Apply a string or piece of duct tape on the middle of said stick-thingy so that you can wear it across your back like the Hayabusa does. Adjust each side of the stick-thingy until you have a length that you feel comfortable with. Preferrably it would be done in small steps, but if you screw up, your stick-thingy should be cheap enough not to ruin your economy if you have to buy a second one.

Once you're satisfied with the length, measure it. There's the length you're looking for. Bottom line is that if it looks too long for you, it is too long.

Well I was thinking about buying the Ryu Hayabusa 42" replica sword from amazon. I measured 42 inches on my back like JSwift suggested, It looked good. If it somehow is too big I'll give it to my friend who is a big Ninja Gaiden Fan
