Layed down my base coat color of Montana Rhino spray paint. I highly suggest Montana cans to anyone. Pooling felt non existent(though I had some pooling from leakseal stage..) and the coverage is amazing.

Now this week I'll be using acrylics for some black undertones and whites/grays for some secondaries before weathering and then finishing up with a black wash.
That looks absolutely amazing bro!! Keep it up!!

Started doing some undertones/secondaries last night. And for those of you who shy away from acrylics, don't fear! My inner thighs were done with about 3-4 layers of lightly watered down acrylic and they look great with virtually no brush strokes.

This is matte spray paint & matte acrylic, the spray paint may look shinier(1st pic) but that's just because of the angle of the light above my head reflecting on it.

Acrylics and latex based are pretty much the best to use on foam that has enough flex and durability, use em for sure! This is looking great, keep it up!!

Well minus the pen lines coming through the camo after the clear coat id say I had a productive weekend of painting and weathering. So now I just have to go back and paint over the camo again before clear coat and black wash this week.

Below is before and after shots of paint/weathering then some zoomed in shots of weathering

Looks great! I can only hope mine looks that good when it's done...
thank you! and you got it man, and even if it's not up to what you want, plenty of people have done upgrades to their ODSTs after their initial build :) PaiganBoi for example and a few others have finished their suit and came back to improve parts. I'm sure I could stand to fix my chest core but at this point i'll take it for now and possibly go back to fix it later.

Tip also, weathering and blackwashing your costume (after painting)will make a nice difference in aesthetic.

Thought you all might enjoy this. Finished black washing so I wanted to do a comparison from when I started painting.
1st pic: base spray paint coat, 2nd: detail and secondary black color(acrylic). 3rd: weathering dry brush style. 4th: black wash finish(fluid acrylic black)

Now all that's left is to finish my helmet and get these pieces to fit to my body
