Hey, I joined in around september last year, and I go t really into pepakura. After awile, though, I kinda stopped working on my armor and posting in the forums. I've started up again but I need some help. I have finished folding my helmet, but before I started to glue, I remebered reading something here about helmet warpage. Something like, if you start at a certain place when you put it together, then it minimizes warpage. I think it was the jaw. Anyway, I need help. Where is the best place to start to avoid as much warpage as possible? I also posted this question in my W.I.P, but since I've been gone for a while, no one seems to read it anymore. Here's a link to my W.I.P, which is where I'll be posting my progress.

I thought it was the bottom of the top front piece.. euuhhmm... the piece that your visor hits at the top. (I think it was number 24 on the FS Low detail size tester, and also the first page)
ANyway, if you make clean folds and glue it well together, it shouldn't warp. It's easier to work from the top, so you don't have to mess around with your arm in the helmet all the time :p

I went first at the brim, then I worked my way back along the top of the helmet, then went down to the bottom of the back, then continued one piece on each side building back forward eventually finishing at the "nose" piece. This kept is at perfect form with no warping.

It doesn't really matter where you start the assembly. The important thing is to cut the pieces precisely and line up the edges carefully while gluing. Here's a pic of a helmet I'm working on at the moment:

I didn't put this together in any particular order but still came out pretty good and without any warping.

(y) im currently working on fs hd helm and ive been piecing things together 1 page at a time and then putting those larger pieces together to form the helm.

just remember to cut well and to line the numbers up as humanly possible and you will be fine

good luck

Edit: I do warn thee if you are doing the final fs hem the light area is very difficult. i jumped right into it and now it looks like crap

Exactly... make sure the lines and numbers line up. When I put together mine, I did the jaw, top, and sides seperately then combined the sections at the end.
