Hey guys I'm very new to this community and I would love to learn a lot from all of you. I never built a cosplay before and I'm very excited to do so. Question is if I download and print out a certain or specific Armor piece , how will I know what to do and how to continue from there on? And what type of materials do I need as a beginner. Very excited to start off and I hope you guys help me out!

Hey welcome! Make sure you post in the Introduce Yourself thread, then dive into reading some tutorials! Depending on your age & creativity level, you can really do/make anything you want. Papercraft, cardboard, foam, 3D printing, etc.

Deciding on your first build and looking around at how other people have done them is super fun. I'm currently working on my first ODST build, and making a cape from the Helldivers 2 collaboration.

Remember that, like anything, you might not be perfect at it the first time around. That's okay! It will take time no matter if it's your first build or your tenth.

Reach out, ask questions, and remember to have fun.

Hey there Otteron, we are glad to have you!

Most of your questions can be found in the tutorial section! I recommend sifting through there to get a loose understanding of what methods we use in the 405th, like Foamsmithing, Pepakura, and 3D printing. You can return here with any questions you have narrowed down after reading through some of our handy tutorials.

Kind regards,
