Meh, I'm going to go ahead and guess about 4 square feet per layer. Roughly. You may have a bit left over.


As for the resin, probably a pint can or so.

for just the helmet i just use one pack of elmers fiberglass sheets
i forgot how big that was but it was about the size of 2 dvd cases put face to face

3x3 for elmers, 2 packs did me the entire suit. 12 dollars for 2, or 6 each.

You hate MAT?
You'de hate cloth more..
It gets fibers evreywhere, on you, on the glue can, in your brush,
and you can't remove 'em without sticking to your fingers...

It's an interesting trade off really.
Cloth does that...but Mat sucks up resin. Which costs more money.

They make them both, because normally, you would do a layer of mat, and finish it up with the cloth.
In our case, the cloth is more than enough strength. Matting and cloth is used primarily for cars and boats for when strength for safety sake is needed.

I've had no problem with cloth shedding fibers because I glued all my cloth down first with Krylon spray adhesive. Nice and neat!
