Well depends...if you live in the city you may not have one. If you're in the country you may have 12. I wonder if it averages out to one a person?

Reminds me, going to do a live fire vid with armor on sometime this summer. ;)

Not taking sides here but physics theories don't always say the same thing as facts. For example, airsoft and paintball. The reff at my local paintball field says that according to physics, since airsoft projectiles are smaller and travel at a higher velocity technically they should hurt more because more of the ballistic energy is transfered into a small spot on your body, whereas a paintball being larger in size and a little slower, not to mention the fact that they explode should hurt less because the force of impact is spread over a wider area. Yet so far nearly everything i've read from airsoft communites in multiple countries says paintball hurts more.

I can't say for sure cause i've only played paintball, but yeh. Thats just my 5c. feel free to poke holes in it :D.
Anyways, i'm off to bed. L8rs all.

You'll Want to go with Energy for your answer here. E=(1/2)*mass*(velocity)^2

Paintball @ 300 fps, 3 grams.... thats 9.25 ft-lbs
6mm Airsoft @ 400 fps, .20 grams.... thats 1.09 ft-lbs

I would say its pretty accurate to say a paintball to bear skin hurts almost 10 times as much.

next time, he's shooting from a bunker no doubt.

That's what shooting ranges are for... no rocks to ricochet off of.

The dual wield SAWs was pretty stupid too. Lose control of that and you could kill someone. Not to mention the fact that the cameraman was forward of the firing line.

You have an excellent point, I am sure that was fun as heck for the guy doing the shooting. Sounds like a Platoon officer was not doing his job...

If you watch the first vid closely, you can hear it ricochet, head back, then see it hit the ground in front of him, then hit his headset.

Still damn lucky. And stupid.

The first vid was slowed down, right? or was that just ahead of the actual shooting?

I loved the blast zone under the table when he fires.. the tip of that barrel expells a hell of a lot of air doesn't it..

The sound of that thing coming back was impressive as hell too.. sounded like an incoming airstrike.

Myth 3: The .50 can penetrate bank vaults.

Fact: Even .50 AP can only penetrate 1" of rolled armor. As far as concrete goes.

I'm calling bullsh*t on this. My dad tests weapons at APG, and he's fired rounds smaller than that through up to 28 inches of steel. And that video that was with the post? They were using underloaded rounds. (Rounds with less than the standard amount of propellant.)

My guess is that they were using blanks just because of the risk and im sure they had a bunch laying around

But i could be wrong
