it had to happen to follow the story line of the novel..
it may suck but it definatly made you more emotionally attached to the characters.
will smith is a great actor and the bonus ending is deffinatly how it should of been in theaters

Little late but I finally watched it.. Wow, I didn't expect that ending.. What a sad movie.. Has anyone saw the alternate ending? I like that a little better.. You can watch the video on the bottom link.. Spoiler if you have not watch the movie or if you are waiting to purchase the special edition DVD...

yeah, the alternate ending is so much better than the one shown in theatres..
it adds so much more meaning and thought to the movie.
