well i seen people making pepakura armor and i was wondering do u have to use bondo??
i have seen people make armor and i could see their folds and i was wondering if they used bondo.

Most of the time if you can see the folds clearly then no bondo just resin. Although there is a method of coating the backside with hot glue to make it more durable and ridgid without using resin.

You do not need to use bondo but it will give you a lot more detail even if you just do a little. 1 quart will only run you about $12.

I would say a good example of the difference would be this pic:

Although one is a higher detail model, you do get the point of the folds.

The one on the right is bondo, one on the left is no bondo just some sanding.

Thanks for the pic Macattack it gives me somethings to think about.

To Bondo or not to bondo that is the question.

Haha, I can't be sure, but I think you might have it backwards. If the one on the left is no bondo, then that was some very good sanding.
