Well hello everyone! Nice to see a reasonable site with some enforced rules, AKA not Myspace, Facebook... you get the point. I have been reading around the site a lot for about a week before I even signed up and then read some more before I even decided to post this introduction.

Now to get to the point I have been looking into this kind of hobbies for a long time, couple months, and have finally decided to give it a shot. So far I have been collecting a lot material for the start of rebirth into a Spartan. I have completed only one pepakura file so for and that is one of the HD MC helms on the Halo costuming wiki page. It's not the highest I think due to the fact it leaves out a lot of the smaller details in the helmet, but none the less completed and it fits I will provide pictures later. So far this helm will be one of many practice items I create to slowly learn the art of costuming and hopefully it will be an enjoyable experience for me and some of you all too.

I’m 20yrs old live in Missouri and enjoy video games electronics in general. I know I’m only 20 but when people meet me a lot of people think I’m more mid 20's not due to the fact I look older than what I am but also how I act, well at least that’s what I like to think. I am a very relaxed person and take time to do everything right if possible. Sometimes I am a perfectionist and other times not so much, but with this kind of stuff I take a very large amount of pride in stuff I create and I do like to show it off... even if the other person doesn’t want to see it. Lol. I also like to think I have a very 80's feel about myself because I love the 80's but people say you shouldn't live in the past. Then I respond I’m not or I wouldn’t be making this kick a** Mjolnir Mark VI armor: D. I also do live my parents and my girlfriend, so that make thing a little bit more complicated for me making the armore but i do have everything nessacary to make the armor and maybe more... lol. In my mind I never have enough supplies.

That is my introduction to myself I hope putting myself in the line of and I would like some criticism on my 1st made pep helmet if anyone can help.

The Helmet was made using the Pepakura file index on Halo Costuming wiki page.

Well, let me be the first to say Welcome to the Forums! I used that same model for the helmet. Then, after having it destroyed like a thousand times, I just printed out Flyingsquirl's Mark VI. But DF4L's model, in my opinion, is a good way to start!

Well today i plan on trying to resin it and maybe get some fiberglass done so if i get some of it done i will come back and add some progress. Oh and don't worry this wont be my WIP page i just want to show my first project(first helmet) on this page then i will start a new thread for the rest of the armor and probably new helmet in higher detail.

Back again with a slight update i wasn't able to get pics up last night of my resined helmet so I'm going to put them up today with another update later of my fiberglassing of the helmet. So far with this being my first ever piece I am making i think its looking really good and i am really happy with the results so far. After the fiberglass i will be doing a little bondo to give more to the shape and put some detail to make it look all pretty and what not.

I do know this is kind of a double post but i mean this thread just hasn't got as much attention as i figured it would but hey I can't complain I know there a lot to look at on the site i just hope everything is looking good for my first time

I decide to use a little bit of tape to hold to bottom of the bill in place while i resined to give it shape. It looks a lot better to me now.

Well just got done doing the fiberglass that means next step is bondo so far for my first time fiberglassing i think it turned out real nice the last of they FB is curing right as i type and i have some more photo's not sure if this is to Photo Heavy because if it is please let me know
