I found this site searching for pepakura. I have a 3d printer that can print plastic parts but it has some limitations. I thought i'd try producing models with another medium and rather than spending forever trying to put together another machine for fabricating parts(Although i do plan to build a mill) Printing folded paper models appeals to me although i'd like to try more metal work when i get the chance. Some of the models i've seen are outright amazing and I look forward trying my hand at it. I have a freshly printed iron man helmet i'd like to try first. I am now off to read up on pepakura before i start attacking this model with a scalpel. If anyones interested, i can also go into more detail on how the printer works, there quite straight forward and are a lot of fun to build and operate although they are also down right dangerous in the wrong hands. I might give some of the guns from halo a go once i've got the iron man helmet done.
