I wouldn't really know if it's slowing down or not, I have only been here a few months and things seem to be at the same pace for me.
Might take into account that it's summer and while that gives people time to work on projects it also allows them more free time and good weather to be out away from their PCs. Also the 4th is a good possibility.
Also Halo 3 has been released for nearly a year so the hype is basically all gone. It is probably going to be getting into only die hard fans and those truly devoted to making the costumes. Until the next big Halo thing is released.

Compared to most other forums this place is above average. There is more then 15 people on average that are online!

Maybe like you said, everyone is recovering from hangovers and being shot at with Roman Candles.

Well. I wouldn't say It's slowing down, but I think people are busy with their own stuff to do.
Like me I'm trying to make the Ironman suit.

It's the build up for Dragoncon. Anyone that was going to release a new project this summer is probably waiting until DragonCon to mention it here. The day afetr D*C ends there will be a flood of new project threads. Being that we've nixed the 'secret project' threads (by member demand) it means that nobody can start a thread that doesn't fully disclose their project. We painted ourselves into a corner, so there we wait until the paint dries.

We're all working on stuff that we want to share, but not until we have a chance to impress each other in Atlanta. (Let the guessing begin!).

it's because of a few things:

It's summer, people go out and play more (I hope)
This week is a holiday weekend, so they're definately less on the computer
A lot of people probably get online during school (college or HS maybe), since it's out, people aren't online.

and finally, because Halo 3 isn't as popular. We'll get back up there.

probably the newer younger members join find out what they need and get to work because it's summer vacation so lots of free time and the older members are getting alot done because its good temperature for resin and other things of the sort but i mean its a good time to work so people are probably devoting their time to that

I know I've noticed a drop in activity. Used to I could stay up all night reading interesting new posts, then get up the next day and there'd be more. Lately though...not so much. On the plus side, I have more time to work on stuff instead of reading. lol

I've experienced that too. It's certainly an interesting phenomenon. I think I personally have been online inversly to most people on here, living on the other side of the world and all. Say, over Christmas it's summer here, so I'd be outside doing stuff while the rest of you are inside on here drinking eggnog.

Too much going on atm and I have no money. its hard to get a job when your in one state half the summer and another the state the other. I could assemble the pep,but if I leave it just paper for too long it will either A)De destroyed in some way or another or Somone will throw it away. I will have to patient. But I should see you all at D*C anyway, if all goes well. Won't be marching cus I won't be in costume,but I can say I was there! Sorry for the little rant,but do feel better. Now I must go. I have a sibling who wants to set off fireworks.

i have to admit, the halo 3 hype is losing its popularity, all my mates are moving on from halo and going to call of duty...

personally, i think theyre getting bored of it.
Halo 3 is a great game, but all games get old, but then, a new game will come out just as good, this has happened from halo 1 to halo 3, but the majority of people who play halo like it because of the First person action. as we all know, halo Wars will be next in line, and i cant see it being as popular as the other halo games were, so halo altogether is beggining to lose popularity, maybe if they started a new halo series (a first person shooter) then they could bring it up (But dear god... do NOT make a halo 4) but in my opinion, about 60% of halo players have lost intrest, mostly because they have no new game to move onto, except some strategy game that doesnt look that appealing to me... so they go on and find a new series of games, like the COD hype...

That my opinion...
