Okay, I'm making an ebay account, and I need paypal, so I googled Paypal and this is what it gave me. http://www.paypal.ca/ca/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_home
Is that the official website? I know of all those scams, so I wouldn't put it past someone to make a nice site, and it turns out to be a scam.I like to be safe than sorry, so thats the reason I made this thread. Please reply quickly, cause I need to make one quickly. Thanks very much.

you only have to type www.paypal.ca and yes its the official site.

is the ONLY one you should be using.

http://www.paypal.de/, http://www.paypal.co.uk/, http://www.paypal.fr/ are the german, english and french websites respectively.

so http://www.paypal.ca/ is, yes, the Canadian version and okay to use. (btw, here's the whois for doubters, the domain is registered to eBay who own paypal)

the important thing is to look if the login page has a valid security certificate (all of these contry-domains do take you to www.paypal.com, which has the certificate). but that's not a reason not to use them.

TF is right. dot com is for the U.S. and dot ca is for Canada. It's legit so go for it.
