I recently PCSed from Ft Meade Maryland on my way to retrain in Military Intelligence and here is a gift I was given by the other NCOs in my company. The helmet is signed by everyone in the company with a couple plaques added. I know it's nothing special but I thought I would share. Goes to show how big of a geek I am when instead of a wall plaque or something traditional they get me this.

How'd the nickname "Big Daddy" come about?

a bit off topic here.... but can you custom mise your guns with like sliencers laser sights bigger ammo capacity etc i dont know if this is legal

The big daddy is a joke. I have been joking that I need a "Nickname" and said I wanted people to call me Big Daddy. The NCO who put this together is a good friend of mine and put that on there as a joke.

AS for the other question, no we do not put silencers or convert our weapons to carry larger ammo. Laser sights are a great way to give up your position and get you shot.

Personally, I think that's a pretty kewl thing for your squadmates to have done. Goes to show just how well they know you, heh. I'd love to receive something like that from my friends. And like Magnum said, it's neat you put that up on a shelf with the rest of your medals. Definately a place of honour

Yeah, I can sympathise. With the nickname thing, that is. I cannot for the life of me get a nickname to stick. Just in general. Even those bad ones you just wish everyone'd just forget.

BTW, that is an awesome thing they did for you.
